Avocado curry with sticky rice is the absolute best dish ever! We eat there 3 or more times a week when we are on the island.

VEGAN. Great Pad Thai and Thai iced coffee. Massam (sp? Yellow curry) curry was okay- I’m extra picky my bf loved it. Friendly and great service!

Great service , great food and quiet nice place to have dinner. I had a wonderful time. The waitress was super sweet and kind.

Food is good, but portions are restricted. Service isn't great and the restrooms are very far away. The whole strip mall is a bit run down and doesn't have a great atmosphere.

I had the pad Thai "American hot", she had the masaman curry mild, both delicious. Good size portions and reasonable prices.

For a place run by two, the place gives back a lot !! Tasty and plateful of yummy Thai food !!

A light lunch off the lunch menu is perfect. Share a mango salad and lunch is comlete. Could not have been happier.

If i could only eat at 1 restaraunt for the rest of my life then this would be it. This is the best food that i have ever eaten i have had every single dish on the menu and i am blown away at how good the flavor is on every single one. I have been to Thailand 6 times and around the world and this is the best. Bangkok house sets the bar for the finest Thai food on earth. I cant believe its in the village of Kona. This is the first and last place i go on every trip to Kona. I love this place and the food. Thank you.

I want give 10 star for foods and service !!!! One lady cook and one lady service yet service was prompt and pleasant I enjoyed very much with my friends dinner tonight ! All food has different flavor PERFECTLY ( when you go some Asian place food all taste same ...) this place every meal we ordered was really great taste !!! Lady served us was very very very Quik what she does and very attentive even place become pack she never forget bring us enough water ! I thought original Thai restaurant cross street was best “ I was WRONG!! This place has THE BEST THAI CUISINE LOVE LOVE LOVED ALL FOODS !!! I went 4 different Thai place in Kona this place is the best so far ! I give 10 stars for service and food !! EXCELLENT!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Get a cookie at register!! Yummy and reasonable!

Oh my. Tom Yam soup is soooooo good. I'm very picky with the Thai food and this is satisfying. The price is also good for lunch. Highly recommended.

Food was tasty. Summer rolls were amazing. I’d recommend that they get some new menus as they are laminated and falling apart. I’ll probably be back.

Great service and generally less busy than the alternatives on the strip. Mango curry was delicious but could have been more spicey.

We have visited twice on our trip and had an amazing meal with the best service on the island. Best meals so far, even the non-spicy dishes are fantastic.

Lots of seating, good parking. Lots of choices on the menu and lunch specials. Thai iced tea was delicious. Pineapple fried rice was served in an actual hollowed out pineapple! We loved our food here. Generous portion sizes.

Accommodating for vegetarians and great location. You can walk off your meal getting to the restroom located downstairs and around the back outside :-)

I went here several years ago with my family that I was visiting. I ordered my favorite Thai dish, called Pad Thai, and it came steaming hot. The pad thai sauce was a little too sweet for my liking but it was good. They put some roasted peanuts on the dish which made the dish stand out in flavor. The cook is very friendly and can easily customize your dish if you have any food allergies.

I had a great experience here. My food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the menu includes several options for vegans and vegetarians.

Nice quaint place with plenty of vegetarian options. I'd say the spice level is on the mild side. We'll go back.

Friendly staff and yummy food. Loved the bags of cookies cooked by local friends of the establishment. Very unique. Located in the strip mall behind the Marriott, not IN the Marriott as Google maps directions will take you.

Excellent choice for me this night as I was looking for a good solid and tasty takeout for a change of pace. Pad Thai, Spicy fried rice, spring rolls were all perfect and reasonably priced. Probably a 4+ star choice in reality, but friendly, helpful staff and getting just the right food gets 5-star from me tonight.

Very tasty Thai dishes here at Bangkok House. I have been in Thailand for a long vacation and I am a big fan of Thai food and I can safely say that the soups and the Thai dishes I had at this restaurant are the closest to the ones I had in Thailand, which is probably due to the fact that the ingredients are fresh and the chef cares about what is doing. I have tried many Thai restaurants in USA and Canada and no one is like this one... to bad for me this is not close to my home...

This was our first meal on Big Island. Not a great place to sit and eat at. The food was comforting and yummy. Ordered a green papaya salad - which is a must try. Veg spring rolls and red curry were good.

Outside smell horrible. Too many people wait outside. Then I order some food to go. I ordered about 100$ food. All tased so badly. All bad quality. Never eat so bad food before and it is more than 100$.The restaurant gave so bad food just because we order to go? The noddles and rice and meat are all horrible. Hate this place so much. Never recommend this place and willl never go back

The server was absolutely caring and empathetic to my wife and I. We just got off a boat and were sea sick. She brought out hot tea with ginger. She was super sweet and caring. Best service hands down. Tom kha was okay for sea sickness. Dont get the beef lo mein, not thr Chinese version and the beef was too chewy

Wonderful food and atmosphere

I really wanted to like this place but it needs an honest review. Ordered pad kee mow (Drunken Noodles), Green Curry, Beef and Calamari Salad. The Drunken Noodles looked plain upon receiving (clear rice noodle look vs. typical brownish red) and tasted more like Pad Thai than anything else I could put a name to. If you like Drunken Noodles and gauge a place by this dish, it was a fail. The Green Curry had no curry in it. Tasted like coconut milk and not much else. Very runny, not thick, was missing several ingredients. The salads were basic and had some flavor. The staff (a hard working family) were overrun and their kitchen is small. Might be time to regroup to produce a quality meal.

The beef larb and papaya salad were very good! We had a large party and all of us were happy with our food choices. The owner was very nice and was also our server.

I have always had great experiences here. These people are so kind and compassionate and they are the best ever, literally. All of the food is delicious and although the restaurant is tucked away it is very nice to relax and have some good food, be treated nicely, and pay a fair price at the end. Top ten places in Kona in my opinion.

We love this place! Friendly service, homemade food, you can bring your own bottle of wine and you can tell that the people working here wants you to have a great experience! Is like eating at home with friends! And the price is great!!!! You should try this place!!!!

Amazing food, service and general good vibe. Been going there steadily since I was born. Staff is always friendly and respectful. Food is delicious and comes out fast. Always a great experience never had a bad one. Best thai place around!!

I recommend the pad kee mao with chicken. The peanut sauce is excellent. Our server provided us with lots of fruit-infused water as we sat in air conditioned-comfort. Great food and well worth the stop.
